Ingredients For cheese stuffed dates with prosciutto

1/4 cgoat cheese at room temperature (2 oz.)

1/4 cmascarpone cheese at room temperature (2 oz.)

1/4 cfinely chopped basil leaves--use fresh basil

kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

12 oz(about 16 total) medjool dates, pitted

8 slicethin slices of proscuitto, halved lengthwise
How To Make cheese stuffed dates with prosciutto

1In a small bowl, mix together the cheeses and basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.

2Gently pull the dates apart and stuff each with 1/2 teaspoon of the cheese mixture. Close the dates around the filling.

3Wrap a piece of proscuitto around each stuffed date and secure with a toothpick. Arrange the stuffed dates on a platter and serve.
