Ingredients For cheese spread

  • 3 8oz pkg
    cream cheese
  • 8 oz pkg
    sharp cheddar cheese, fine shredded
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    curry powder
  • 1 jar
    major grey (or other good brand) chutney
  • 2 Tbsp
    scallions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    toasted chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    chopped raisins or craisins

How To Make cheese spread

  • 1
    Soften cream cheese in microwave until soft. Mix with curry powder and shredded cheddar cheese. Chill mixture to blend flavors..1 hour or overnight.

    Spread cheese mixture in shallow dish or on decorative platter. Pour chutney over top and then sprinkle coconut, onions, pecans and raisin or craisins on top.

    Serve with assorted crackers and/ or sliced apples that have been dipped in lemon juice to prevent darkening of fruit.
