These are an amazing Italian appetizer to enjoy and perfect for your next backyard party!

Ingredients For caprese skewers

  • 4
    red cherry tomatoes, washed
  • 4
    yellow cherry tomatoes, washed
  • 4
    orange cherry tomatoes, washed
  • 8
    mini bocconcini
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 lg
    basil leaves (about 1 tsp.), finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground Himalayan pink salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper, or to taste (I always use mixed peppercorns)
  • 2 Tbsp
    balsamic glaze, or as needed
  • 1/16 tsp
    cayenne pepper, or to taste

How To Make caprese skewers

    In a bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, bocconcini, olive oil, chopped basil, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper; toss to coat.

    Skewer a red tomato followed by bocconcini, yellow tomato, bocconcini, and orange tomato; repeat with the other skewers.

    In a small bowl, stir balsamic glaze with cayenne pepper; drizzle over the prepared skewers. Serve immediately.
