There are a couple of things you can do to add some extra spice to your dip: -Add extra crushed red pepper -Use Frank's Xtra Hot sauce (cayenne pepper flavor) -Cut up some jalapenos and add them to the cooked chicken when you begin to mix everything

Ingredients For buffalo chicken dip

  • 4
    chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese
  • frank's red hot sauce
  • ranch salad dressing
  • 1 pkg
    mozzarella, shredded
  • OPTIONAL:
  • crushed red pepper
  • garlic salt
  • onion powder
  • chicken seasoning

How To Make buffalo chicken dip

  • 1
Boil the chicken breasts until fully cooked. When cooked, remove from water and set aside to cool off and then shred the chicken. OPTIONAL: I coat the water with the seasonings under "optional". I feel that it just adds more flavor to the dip.
  • 2
Place the shredded chicken in a large skillet or pot and on medium heat add the Frank's hot sauce until all of the chicken is coated and orange. Then add about 1/3 of the bottle of Ranch dressing and mix thoroughly.
  • 3
Add the package of cream cheese (should be room temp.) and mix until melted.
  • 4
Add in more of the buffalo sauce and Ranch dressing, using equal parts.
  • 5
*Right about here you want to taste the chicken to see if it is too spicy, inwhich case you can add more Ranch. Or if it's too mild, and you can add some more hot sauce.
  • 6
When you get the chicken to the right spice level, add the entire bag of mozzarella, stirring until the cheese has melted. Then you are finished!
  • 7
Spread the dip on some fresh bread or dip some tortilla chips into it and enjoy!
