This is an easy appetizer and is a huge hit with blue cheese fans!! I've seen them scraping the cheese board for the last crumbs..:)

Ingredients For blue cheese and black olive cheese ball

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 8 oz
    crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 can
    black olives (4.5 oz)
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced chives (optional(
  • 1/2 c
    nuts (pecan or sunflower seeds are best)

How To Make blue cheese and black olive cheese ball

    Get cheeses and butter to room temperature and then beat together. Add olives and chives. On parchment paper, roll into a ball. Then pat nuts into the ball. If you can find the shelled sunflower seeds, they are GREAT with this. But if you can't, pecan pieces work well also.

    Cover and chill in refrigerator until firm. Serve with plain wagers, bagel chips, or toast points.
