warm french onion dip - mw
We were at Red Robin and I tried the warm French onion dip (it comes with freshly made Yukon potato chips but I ate it with their fries). O-M-G! YUM! So the other night when we did take out from there, I tried to recreate it at home. This was the result. Hubby thinks I nailed it!

How To Make warm french onion dip - mw
-
1Unwrap Cream Cheese, place on a plate and microwave on HIGH for 35-40 seconds (I have an 1100 watt microwave)
-
2In a medium-sized bowl, place softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayo and soup mix. Blend using the medium speed of your hand mixer until well combined, scraping sides as needed. If the dip seems a bit thick, thin out with a bit of milk (start with 1 tablespoon and repeat until dip is at desired consistency).
-
3Spoon dip into a microwave-safe serving dish and warm in the microwave for a short period of time (40 seconds?) - I'd probably go 30 seconds and then add increments of 5 seconds until heated as desired. Don't cook too long or the dip might break (ask me how I know?).
-
4Note: I used about 2 tablespoons of Vogue Cuisine Onion Soup & Seasoning Base (Low Sodium, Gluten Free, All Natural Ingredients). I suppose you could use room-temp cream cheese and warm this in the oven (toaster oven), but I was in a hurry.
