Radish season is upon us! From the cookbook Taste of Morocco by Robert Carrier.

Ingredients For moroccan radish salad

  • 1 lb
    radishes (best quality!) washed and trimmed
  • 1/2
    orange, juice of
  • 1/2
    meyer lemon, juice of (standard lemon ok)
  • 2 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    icing sugar (aka powdered sugar but granulated sugar ok)
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    orange flower water (start with 1/2 t. then add more, to taste)

How To Make moroccan radish salad

    Toss all ingredients together in a non-reactive bowl. Cover and chill.

    Transfer the mixture to a bowl or platter and serve at room temperature. Suggestion: I lined a bowl with red leaf lettuce first and garnished the top of the radishes with orange zest.
