This is an easy dip that you can adjust the heat with more or less peppers! I have served it warmed in the oven and at room temperature- both are yummy!

Ingredients For jalapeño dip

  • 1 can
jalapeño peppers, drained, chopped (4 oz)
  • 1 c
    cheese,mexican blend, shredded
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    mayonaise
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 can
    green chilies, diced (4 oz)
  • 1 can
rotel tomatoes and chills, drained, any variety
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 clove
garlic, minced or 1/2 tsp powder

How To Make jalapeño dip

  • 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2
Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl until blended. Put into an oven proof serving dish- I use a one quart dish.
  • 3
Bake at 350 for 20-45 minutes. The baking time depends on how "gooey" you want the dip. 25 makes it warm and firm, up to 45 makes it very cheesy and gooey. I have also served this room temperature and it tastes great, but no melted cheese.

Serve with tortilla chips, pita chips or bread slices. Store leftovers in aright container in refrigerator.
