This was a recipe I entered in a contest. It did not win, but my family says it's a winner. This dip has all the ingredients of an Italian hoagie (sub) in a cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream base, all mixed together and baked. The result is a rich, creamy, and tasty dip that tastes like an Italian grinder. For some extra added flavor, I've also served this hot dip drizzled with my favorite bottled Italian salad dressing.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Creamy, cheesy, and slightly tangy this Italian grinder dip has fantastic flavor. Ranch adds tons of flavor and the combination of finely diced ham, salami, and capicola is delicious. If you can't find capicola, prosciutto or soppressata is a good substitute. The toppings are what you'd eat on an Italian grinder which makes you feel like you're eating the sandwich in a hot dip. We enjoyed the zing from the banana peppers. This will be a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
