My mom made these every year after picking fresh green beans from the garden. Great to serve in vegetable trays, or put in salads for a new treat.

Ingredients For dilly beans

1 clovegarlic

1 sprigfresh dill
-
1/4 tspcayenne pepper

1/2 tspmustard seed

green beans, fresh

5 cwhite vinegar

5 cwater
-
1/2 csalt
How To Make dilly beans

1You will need clean canning jars, rings and lids.They can be quarts or pints.

2Get a pot of water boiling for hot water bath. In 4 quart sauce pan: Boil: 5 C.white vinegar 5 C. water 1/2 C. salt. While this is on the stove coming to a boil

3In the bottom of your jar add: garlic,dill sprig,cayenne pepper,and mustard seed. This is per jar. Fill with fresh beans standing straight upright. pack tightly.

4Pour hot vinegar,water and salt over beans. Make sure the tops of your jars are clean,seal with lid and ring, put in hot water bath 10 mins.
