These are a very tasty appetizer or anytime snack...I first made them for a New Years Eve party, and got rave reviews...I adapted this recipe from a ham type pinwheel my Aunt always made...my family has come to love this one even better... Enjoy!

Ingredients For tasty crab n cream cheese pinwheels

  • 1 - 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 6 - 8 oz
    imitation crab - or crab meat - chopped or shredded
  • 1/2 c
    sweet red pepper, diced small
  • 3
    green onion, chopped - plus tops
  • 1/2 c
    shredded, cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c
    fresh parsley, chopped or dried
  • 1 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • chili
    powder to taste
  • garnish
    with paprika
  • 5 - 6
    6 inch flour tortilla's

How To Make tasty crab n cream cheese pinwheels

    In a medium sized bowl; beat cream cheese until smooth. Fold in the parsley, red pepper, sauce, onion, cheese and crab. Sprinkle with desired chili powder.

    Lay out your tortilla's Spread about 1/4 cup onto each tortilla.

    Roll tightly. I cut the ends with kitchen shears.

    Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Slice each roll into 5 - 6 slices and place on a sprayed baking sheet.

    Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle with paprika and enjoy!
