2lbs. raw shrimp
-
mccormick's pickeling spice
-
old bay seasoning
-
1bottle of beer
How To Make steamed spiced shrimp
-
1Rinse shrimp well. Pour bottle of beer (I recommend you NOT use stout or the like. Something like Miller Highlife or such.) into medium Dutch oven.
-
2Place a layer of shrimp over beer, then sprinkle a thin layer of pickeling spice, then Old Bay seasoning (to taste), then a layer of shrimp and so on until all the shrimp are seasoned.
-
3With a large spoon, keep turning the shrimp during the steaming process until they turn pink. Do not over cook or they will be rubbery and tough.
