This is one of those classic appetizers that has been around for ages in different forms. Carol's method is easy and quick. You can easily keep all the ingredients on hand during the holidays and throw them together if you have any unexpected guests. It's a much more economical version of a shrimp cocktail. The flavorful cocktail sauce goes so well with cream cheese and shrimp. Delish!

8 ozcream cheese, softened

1 ccocktail sauce, you may want to use more

4-6 ozmini shrimp, frozen and defrosted (canned is ok)

Test Kitchen Tips
We used frozen mini salad shrimp, but canned shrimp could easily be used too.

1Place softened cream cheese on a serving dish.

2Top with the cocktail sauce.

3Sprinkle mini shrimp on top of cocktail sauce.

4Serve with Ritz crackers, or crackers of your choice. Enjoy!
