These are good all purpose meatballs for most applications, except ,Asian, of course.

Ingredients For my best meatballs

  • 1 lb
    meat loaf mix
  • 1/2 c
    ricotta cheese
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/4 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    fresh parsley
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh basil
  • 1/4 c
    minced onion
  • 3-4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    fennel (ground)

How To Make my best meatballs

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 450. Mix all ingredients together, form golf ball size meatballs,I like to use a cookie scoop,it's easier to make them uniform.

    Place on rack in a baking pan, and bake 35- 40 min. These freeze beautifully, placed on a jellyroll pan until frozen, then put in a zip lock bag.
