This is an easy appetizer for your next party that can be whipped up in no time. We really enjoyed these flaky puff pastry bites with a warm jalapeño cream cheese center. The pepper jelly adds a hint of sweetness and spice.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 medium jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1/3 cup green or red pepper jelly
How To Make sweet hot kisses

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix the cream cheese and jalapeños in a small bowl. Scoop mixture into 1/2 inch balls and drop onto a wax paper-lined plate. Place the balls in the freezer while you prepare the puff pastry (about 15 minutes).

Step 2Unfold the sheets of puff pastry and roll over with a rolling pin to remove creases.

Step 3Cut each sheet in half, then in half again, and so on until you have 32 squares.

Step 4Place each square into a greased mini muffin cup. Arrange so the corners are pointed up. Bake for 5 minutes.

Step 5Place one cream cheese ball into each pastry cup. Push in if the pastry has begun to puff.

Step 6Return to the oven and bake an additional 8 - 10 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Step 7Remove the pastries from the tin and top each immediately with 1/2 teaspoon pepper jelly. Serve warm.
