This is a recipe from our cousin Ann or as we know her (Evelyn) :-)

Ingredients For evelyn's cheeseball

  • 1 lb
    sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese,softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts (of course i use pecans)
  • 1 c
    finely chopped nuts (lightly toasted) this step is optional

How To Make evelyn's cheeseball

    Mix all together and form into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate a few hours or overnight. Serve with your favorite crackers. (note will have to guess at measurement for garlic salt and salt--I eyeball half of a 1/4 teaspoon when measuring the spices.

    OPTIONAL STEP--If you want the appearance to be a little more attractive, I suggest rolling the ball in about a cup of finely chopped nuts (you can lightly toast them)
