layered chocolate fudge cake
I made this for a groom's cake at a wedding and is the best tasting chocolate cake ever. I have not put the original frosting with it, though. It did not work for me last time I made it, so I have put my buttercream recipe with the addition of the melted baking chocolate in it.

How To Make layered chocolate fudge cake
-
1Put 2 squares of chocolate in a food processor, chop and set aside.
-
2Prepare 2-9" cake pans: Spray with oil. I usually cut 2 circles of parchment paper and put on the bottom then spray the parchment and then flour the pans.
-
3Mix the cake mix, dry pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil and water on low speed until all is moistened, scrape bowl to make sure it is all mixed in. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in chopped chocolate. Divide batter between the 2 pans and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let the cake sit for about 5 minutes before turning out of pans.
-
4Frosting: Melt 2-4 squares of chocolate and let cool. Mix the Crisco and butter together, add the cooled chocolate and mix. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and a Tablespoon of milk. Stir slowly in mixer, if you need more milk add another Tablespoon. until spreading consistency. Frost middle layer, add the other on top, frost top, then sides. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips or shaved chocolate on top.
