Better than boxed pudding and I can also make it sugar free easily. This is the recipe that I used to make a banana cream pie and banana pudding. It is so good and you may recognize the flavor once you taste it. Use the reserved egg whites for meringue.

Ingredients For vanilla pudding

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 tsp
    flour
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 3 c
    milk
  • 3
    egg yolks, reserve whites
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How To Make vanilla pudding

    Separate the egg yolks and reserve the egg whites.

    Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, and flour together in a large microwaveable bowl. Whisk egg yolks and 1/4 cup of the milk together then add the remaining milk. Cook in microwave, stirring every 2 minutes until very bubbly (about 8 minutes depending on microwave) Add vanilla and cool.
