s'mores scones
These aren't your average S'mores Scones! These are graham cracker scones filled with melted chocolate & pockets of sweet marshmallows topped with a drizzle of melted chocolate & marshmallow icing.

Ingredients For s'mores scones
- SCONES INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 ccrushed graham crackers (*1)

2 3/4 cflour + extra for stickiness

1 pinchsalt

1/4 csugar

1 stickof cold butter (½ cup)

3/4 cchocolate chips
-
1 cmini marshmallows (*2)

1 chalf & half
-
1/2 cfrench vanilla creamer (plus some extra to brush each scone before baking)

*1. this is approximately 1 package of graham crackers. to crush the graham crackers place them in a large bag & crush them with a rolling pin. *2. i cut my mini marshmallows in half by pulling them apart with my fingers.

How To Make s'mores scones

1First, preheat your oven to 400° degrees f Then in a bowl sift all of the dry ingredients, crushed graham crackers, flour, baking powder, salt, ¼ cup sugar. Use your hands to crumble one stick of butter into the dry ingredients.

2Next, fold in the 3/4 cup chocolate chips & 1 cup mini marshmallows.

3Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, pour in the half & half and French vanilla creamer, gently combine the ingredients. I like to place my scone dough in the freezer for 30-45 minutes (covered in cling wrap) so that the butter gets nice & cold before going into the oven bur this is not required.

4Split the scone dough in half, place both halves on a floured surface, & using your hands (with a little extra flour) shape the dough into round disks about 2 inches thick.

5Cut the dough into scones with a big knife. Place the scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper & brush the top of each scone with French vanilla creamer.

6Bake them for 20 minutes. Your scones are done baking when they are lightly golden on top.

7Top with a drizzle of melted chocolate & marshmallow icing made to your desired thickness.

8Scones stored in a loosely sealed container will keep up to one week.
