This is our favorite version of spaghetti.The hard boiled eggs originated from Grandma Sue Colkitt due to the catholic tradition of no meat on Friday. The eggs substituted for meatballs.

Ingredients For spaghetti with meat sauce

  • 1 lb
    spaghetti
  • (2) 24 oz
    spaghetti sauce
  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lg
    onion, diced
  • 1 lg
    green pepper, diced (optional)
  • 15 oz
    mushrooms, whole (optional)
  • 6-12
    eggs, hard boiled,peeled (optional)
  • to taste
    garlic powder
  • to taste
    salt and pepper

How To Make spaghetti with meat sauce

  • 1
    Brown ground beef with the onions and peppers. Season with garlic powder, salt & pepper. Drain grease.

    Add spaghetti sauce, mushrooms & eggs. Simmer to enhance flavor.

    Boil spaghetti noodles then drain.
  • 4
    Dish up a portion of noodles on a plate, then cover with sauce. Top with parmesan cheese.
