gingerbread cake
This is a very old recipe. My Mom made this quite often for Sunday meals and my Grandma before her. We always had fresh cream because we had a dairy when we were growing up-it was so good!

Ingredients For gingerbread cake

1 csugar

2 cflour

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspginger

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 cmolasses

1/2 cbutter

2 lgeggs

1 cboiling water
How To Make gingerbread cake

1Mix together the sugar, flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon in a bowl. Add molasses, softened butter and eggs, mix well. Add boiling water and continue mixing.

2Bake in a 8" x 8" pan at 350 for 30 minutes or a loaf pan for 45 minutes. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream on top.
