1/2 lb. asparagus, tough stems removed, cut into 1" pieces on the bias

1 large leek, dark green tops removed, washed, halved, and sliced into half moons*

1 cup fresh or frozen peas, thawed if frozen

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups low sodium chicken or vegetable stock

8 ounces dried pasta (I used orrechiette)

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
