german potato salad
I found this recipe in a cookbook long years ago. I have always served this with Bratz.

Ingredients For german potato salad

8 mdpotatoes

5 slicebacon

1 1/2 conion, diced

3/4 cbrown sugar, lightly packed

1/2 capple cider vinegar

1/4 cflour
-
1 cwater

1/2 tspsalt
How To Make german potato salad

1Peel potatoes, slice fairly thick (about 1/4"), sprinkle a little salt on them-cook until tender, drain and hold.

2Cut up bacon into small pieces(I usually use a kitchen shears). Fry bacon and onion together until bacon is brown and crisp. Add sugar to bacon and stir over low heat until dissolved, add vinegar, stir. Make a slurry with the flour and water. Add to pan, cook and stir for about 5 minutes, add salt.

3In a bowl, add the potatoes and bacon mixture, lightly toss. Serve warm.
