4 lblean ground beef or chuck

1 lgred onion chopped

4whole jalapeno peppers, finely chopped

1seeded green bell pepper

2 clovegarlic, peeled, chopped and sauteed in butter

3 can14 oz each stewed tomatoes

1/2 cvegetable cocktail juice (v8)

3/4 cred wine (burgundy preferred)

3 Tbspsugar

6 Tbspwhite vinegar

1 Tbspolive oil

1/2 tsphot pepper sauce

1/4 tspchili powder

1/4 tspcelery salt

1/4 tsporegano, dried

1/4 tspseasoned salt

1/4 tspsalt

1/8 tspcayenne pepper

1/8 tspwhite pepper

1/8 tspgarlic powder

2 can(14 1/2 oz each) dark red kidney beans

How To Make sweet and spicy chili

1Mix all ingredients except beef and beans in large pot. cook over medium heat about 1 1/2 hours.

2Meanwhile brown meat in large skillet, drain. Keep beef warm while chili mixture is cooking.

3After chili mixture has cooked for 1 1/2 hours stir in beef,and beans cook for 30 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings.

4For best flavor developement, let chili sit for several hours or refrigerate overnight. Heat thoroughly before serving. Top with shredded cheddar and sour cream.
