For the record, I plain love cabbage. But even with my high expectations of this dish, it was still a pleasant surprise! The mixture of the seasonings is spot on and the bacon was the perfect finishing touch. I would serve this tasty side to anyone I liked any day of the week!

Ingredients For spicy cajun cabbage

1 bunchgreen onions, chopped

1large head of cabbage chopped

10slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cwater

2 Tbspsugar
-
1 tspAccent seasoning

1 tspwhole celery seed

1 tspcreole seasoning, can be adjusted for spice level

1 tspblack pepper, can be adjusted for spice level
How To Make spicy cajun cabbage

1Cook bacon and set aside.

2Cook chopped green onions in bacon grease for 4 minutes.

3Add Cabbage and water, cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.

4Mix all spices in a small bowl.

5Add spice mixture to cabbage and cook for 15 more minutes or until desired doneness.

6Crumble bacon on top before serving.
