How To Make peppery brie en croute
-
1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Work the crescent dough into a thin circle large enough to completely wrap the Brie.
-
2Place cheese in the center of the dough circle. Prick the top of the cheese several times with a fork.
-
3Slowly pour 1 Tbsp of Tabasco over the top of the cheese. Let it stand briefly so the cheese absorbs the sauce.
-
4Add the remaining tablespoon of Tabasco sauce pricking cheese several more times with a fork. Some sauce will run over the side of the cheese.
-
5Bring the edges of the dough over the top of the cheese working it together to completely cover the cheese.
-
6Brush edges with beaten egg and seal.
-
7Bake for about 10 minutes. Be careful not to overbake as the cheese will run. Serve immediately with crackers.
