You can't go wrong when you put peanut butter, chocolate, and cheesecake together in a dessert. These peanut butter cheesecake squares have a crumbly graham cracker crust. The peanut butter flavor shines in the tangy and creamy cheesecake layer. We added the optional chopped peanuts and liked their crunch. A chocolate drizzle is a delicious final touch.

- CRUST

1 1/2 cgraham cracker crumbs

3 Tbspgranulated sugar

1/2 cbutter flavored shortening

2 Tbspmilk
- CHEESECAKE FILLING

3 ozcream cheese, softened

1/4 cpeanut butter, creamy

1/4 cgranulated sugar
-
1/4 cmilk
-
1 lgegg
-
1/2 cchopped peanuts, optional
- DRIZZLE

1/4 csemi-sweet chocolate chips
-
1 tspbutter flavored shortening
How To Make peanut butter cheesecake squares

1Heat oven to 350 degrees F. For the crust, combine graham cracker crumbs and 3 Tbsp granulated sugar in a small bowl. Combine melted shortening and one milk. Stir into the crumbs.

2Press lightly into an 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.

3For cheesecake filling, beat cream cheese and peanut butter in a small bowl at medium speed until blended. Add 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup milk, and the egg. Beat well.

4Stir in chopped nuts.

5Spread over baked crust.

6Return to oven. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until set.

7For the drizzle, melt chocolate chips and butter flavor shortening on very low heat or at 50% power in the microwave. Stir.

8Drizzle from the end of a spoon back and forth over the top of the bars.

9Chill.

10Cut into 2 x 2-inch squares. Store extras in the refrigerator.
