This is another take on a latke. They would taste better fried, but they are better for you oven fried.

Ingredients For oven fried potato sticks

  • 6 md
    russet potatoes
  • 1/2
    onion, optional
  • favorite potato seasonings
  • olive oil
  • flour

How To Make oven fried potato sticks

    Peel and shred potatoes and half an onion. Place in bowl and drizzle with olive oil, mix to coat. Now add about 1/4c flour, just enough to slightly coat potatoes. Now grab about 2-3 tbl. of potatoes in your hand and squeeze tightly, allowing any liquid to escape. Now place "sticks" on baking sheet sprayed with olive oil. Spray top of potato sticks and bake in a 400° oven for about 20 min. Turn sticks over and spray with olive oil. Bake another 20-30 min. till golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
