  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 2- 8oz
    pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar plus 2 tb divided
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 3
    granny smith apples peeled & cored & chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 c
    caramel topping
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make paula deen's caramel apple cheesecake bars

    Pre-heat oven 350 In med bowl combine flour & brown sugar. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or with your hands until mixture is crumbly.Press evenly into a 13 x 9 baking pan lined with foil. Bake 15 mins or til lightly brown.

    In a large bowl beat cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar in an electric mixer at med speed till smooth. Then add eggs 1 at a time & vanilla. Stir to combine, pour over warm crust.

    In a small bowl stir together chopped apples, remaining 2 TB sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg. Spoon evenly over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle evenly with Streusel topping. Bake 30 mins or til filling is set. Drizzle with Caramel Topping.
