In recipes like this, that use a lot of vanilla extract, I find it makes a big difference if you use pure vanilla instead of imitation. I look for sales & stock up. That & real butter! Ok, everything else too. :)

How To Make brown sugar drop cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Cream together the butter or margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla and stir. Add the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
