This cookbook is for my dear friend, Sheley.
Best Wishes and Good Luck. Always stay the sweet Christian woman that you are and God will continue to bless you and your marriage.
May all your dreams come true as you say, "I do."
Gave Sheley her cookbook today and she and the rest of the guests loved it. I am happy to know that I gave her something that she will use and cherish.
So glad you liked it and tweaked it to suit your taste! I was feeling a little nervous about the recipe because Someone commented on how it had way too many unnecessary steps. I just combined recipes and came up with what I thought worked. Thanks, for letting me know that it turned out good. :)
Hey Gail, My Pot Roast made from your recipe was AMAZING, My husband was a very happy man for dinner last night. I just love love LOVED the gravy with the potatoes. I cooked the roast in a 6 quart digital crockpot, and it really turned out moist tender and juicy, I served broccoli Slaw, Mashed Potatoes, & Green Beans. I only used the carrots and onions in with the roast. I will be making it again. It is a great recipe. Had I not looked thru your cookbook ,it would not have caught my eye. Thanks again for a great recipe.
Yum. I'll have to look up that Almond Butter Glaze Pound Cake. Sounds delish! I hope your roast turns out good. I bet it will be tender cooking it in the crockpot. Keep me posted!
Thanks Gail, Nothing like giving credit where credit is do. Hey I have your Pot Roast and Potatoes & carrots Recipe cooking as we speak. I am just doing it in the crock pot. It is really smelling great. I will be sure and keep you posted. I am using a Bottom of the Round instead of a Chuck Roast. This is only the second recipe I have actually made from the site, but I have already saved plenty. I know it will be good, I also made my Almond Butter Glazed Pound Cake as dessert.
Love the idea that you think "I ROCK!", Rose. I was trying to come up with something meaningful as a gift. Sheley and I were coworkers. She calls me, "Ms. Gail" and always loved it when I brought treats to work.
Gail, What a thoughtful and lasting idea. To compile a cookbook as a wedding gift. One that she can and will use over and over, and always be reminded of the thought and time that it took to put this book together for her. What a meaningful and thoughtful gift idea, that will be cherished for years to come. You ROCK GAIL.
Thank you all so much. I am so blessed to have good friends. It has been a joy joining JAP and getting to interact with such wonderful, caring people. Make it a great day. :D
She's going to LOVE this!! :D Wish someone would've done this for me when I first got married. What a perfect and thoughtful gift! :D Beautiful job, Gail! :D
