It’s heating up outside … but not in my kitchen!
My sweet tooth doesn’t take a break in the summer. But, the last thing I want to do is turn on my oven and start baking. So I always have a supply of easy no-bake dessert recipes on hand.
Don’t put your Crock Pot away just because winter is over. It’s a great trick in the summer. The flavor in Nikki Smith’s Banana Loaf in a Crock Pot is very mild, but quite tasty.
“[This recipe] doesn’t heat up the whole house,” says Nikki. “Now I can have banana loaf all year around.” We used a metal pan and put it right into the Crock Pot – came out perfect. I love this cooking method … and this recipe.
Home cook Lisa Nicometi Garrow’s No-Bake Chocolate PB Pretzel Ritz Bars captures the sweet and savory tastes I just love. The crackers and the pretzels make for a really nice base to this bar.
“Everything I love in a cookie bar,” says Lisa. “And no bake!” The hardest part of this recipe is melting chocolate and peanut butter in the microwave. This recipe can’t get any easier!
Susan Aldrich’s neighbor shared her Chocolate No-Bake Cookies recipe with her on Susan’s wedding day, and she’s been making them ever since. What a great wedding present … the gift that keeps on giving! “All of our family and friends love them,” shares Susan.
With only six ingredients (most of which you probably have on hand), these can be made whenever a craving strikes. These cookies bring back so many childhood memories for me. My mom used to make a no bake cookie and these just as good as I remember hers.
Casper, WY native Deborah Hurtado learned how to make her No-Bake Peanut Butter Chow Mien Noodle Cookies from watching her mother make them. She taught her kids, and now her son makes these. I love a recipe that the whole family helps out with.
“This is a fun recipe a child can make,” says Deborah. “Add or delete items as you like.” These cookies have a great crunch. The flavor combo of peanut butter and butterscotch is downright perfect … with chocolate on top!
Pie more your thing? Then, Pam Martin-Allen’s No-Bake Lemon Pie needs to be in your recipe binder. This pie makes for one wonderful dessert.
This is very easy to prepare and a good recipe to try experimenting with different presentation ideas. It would be great served in individual pie shells and sure to lead to rave reviews!
Buying pound cake from the grocery store, makes Linda Griffith’s Frozen Raspberry Layer Cake a great summer treat. “A very refreshing cake, especially for the lazy days of summer, says Linda.
There is a little prep time in this recipe, but most of it is when the cake is chilling. I can’t wait to serve this to my friends and family out on the patio this summer. Along with a glass of lemonade or sweet tea, my taste buds will be in heaven.
Sweeten up the warm summer nights with these – or your favorite – no-bake treats. I’d love for you to share YOUR favorite no-bake recipe with us!
