This dish freezes well! So for my family I put half of it in the freezer before it's too cooked.

Ingredients For cabbage & bacon

  • 1/2 lg
    cabbage head (chopped)
  • 1 pkg
    bacon
  • 1 md
    onion (chopped)
  • 1
    tomatoes, lg can chopped
  • salt and pepper

How To Make cabbage & bacon

  • 1
    Brown bacon in a large frying pan. Remove bacon & keep enough fat to saute onions.

    Once onions are golden (salt & pepper cabbage)& add to pan. Note saute cabbage just a little don't over cook.

    Then add bacon & canned tomatoes. Simmer cabbage to desired firmness.
