This is everyday Arabic rice that is used to eat with stews and such. I grew up eating this with just simply plain yoghurt or chopped tomatoes over it.

Ingredients For simple arabic rice pilaf

2 cwhite rice
-
1/4 cbutter
-
1handfull broken vermicelli noodles

1/2 tspsalt

3 3/4 cwater or broth
How To Make simple arabic rice pilaf

1Fry the vermicelli in butter on low until golden.

2Add remaining ingredients.

3Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. .

4Cover & simmer for 30 minutes or until rice is tender & water is absorbed.
