1/4 cup apricot preserves, heated and strained
•
1/4 cup seedless raspberry preserves, heated

White Chocolate Glaze:
•
8 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped
•
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
•
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
•
Royal Icing: (optional)
•
1 large egg white, at room temperature
•
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
•
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar (powdered or icing sugar), sifted
