Ingredients For stewed ox tails

  • 3-5 lb
    ox tails
  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 4-5 sprig
    fresh thyme
  • 4-5 clove
    fresh chopped garlic
  • 1 lg
    onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh minced ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 c
    bbq sause
  • 1 c
    ketcup
  • 1 c
    a-1 steak sause
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    hot sause
  • 2 lg
    carrots chopped 1in. size
  • 4 lg
    potatos chopped 2in, size
  • 1 c
    water

How To Make stewed ox tails

    MARINATE: Ox Tails, 1/2 the oil, thyme, garlic, ginger, onion, and red pepper flakes. mix well, cover, & put in frig for 1-4hrs or overnite!!!!

    In a large pot Brown meat in oil over med hi heat on all sides. Do in batches dont over crowd!!!!

    Add meat and the rest of the ingred. except potatoes and carrots!!!! Bring to boil, cover, cook on med low 3hrs Last 30mins add vegs cook till tender!!! Sever and Enjoy :)
