Ingredients For crock pot honey chicken and rice

  • 2 lb
    boneless chicken
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/8 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/8 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1/4 c
    water

How To Make crock pot honey chicken and rice

    Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper. Put it into the Crock Pot.

    In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic, and pepper flakes.

    Pour over the chicken.

    Cook on high for 2 - 3 hours or on low for 4 - 5 hours.

    Once the chicken is cooked, remove it and cut into bite-sized pieces.

    If you want the sauce to thicken, whisk 2 Tbsp of corn starch with 1/4 cup of water.

    Pour the mixture into the Crock Pot and whisk together.

    Add the chicken back to the Crock Pot. Place the lid back on and cook on high for 30 - 45 minutes or until the sauce is thickened. Once the sauce is thickened, serve chicken and sauce over the rice of your choice.
