I made these flavorful burgers with just the rite amount of bite last night. My husband couldn't stop saying how great these were...and I agree :)

I loved the flavors in this recipe.  The cumin really made this burger special. Plus, I hardly ever meet a guac that I didn't like!

Ingredients For monterey jack stuffed mexican hamburgers with guacamole topping

  • 1/2 lb
    chopped turkey
  • 1/2 lb
    chopped meat (beef)
  • 1 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 lg
    chipotle pepper from a can of chipotle in adobo sauce (choppd fine)
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 4
    2" pieces of monterey jack cheese
  • 4
    hamburger buns
  • MY GUACAMOLE
  • 2
    ripe avocados scooped out n slightly mashed
  • 1/8 c
    chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 c
    chopped purple onion
  • 1 tsp
    chopped cilantro (optional)
  • 2 pinch
    cayenne pepper (maybe more)
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    lime juice

    In a large bowl mix together chopped turkey, chopped meat, cumin, chili pwdr, chopped fine chipotle pepper, salt, blk pepper.

    Divide mixture into 4 sections...n grab one n place chunk of cheese in middle n cover with meat then form into patty.

    Repeat with remaining meat mixture until all 4 are formed. Now place on hot bbq 5 min. Per side.

    While burgers r grilln...lets make guac! In med bowl put scooped out avacados, add chopped onion, chopped cilantro, chopped tomato, cayenne pepper, salt, lime juice n mash together (i like my guac chunky so i only smash slightly)

    Last step place hamburger on bun n top with guacamole n......enjoy :)
