I made this in a trifle dish for a potluck at work. There was nothing left to take home, every morsal was eaten. It was a huge hit. When making in a trifle dish double all ingredients. Making 2 cake loaves.

1 - 3 oz pkgcream cheese, room temperature

1 1/2 csugar

1 1/2 call purpose flour

1/4 tspbaking powder

2 Tbspdark rum
- CREAMY VANILLA FILLING

1 - 3 oz pkgvanilla instant pudding

1 cheavy whipping cream

1/2 cmilk
-
1/2 csour cream
-
1/4 cpowdered sugar
- CARAMEL TOPPING

1 ccaramel ice cream topping

2 Tbspdark rum
How To Make bananas foster trifle

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10 inch loaf pan.

2Cake: In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed until creamy. Add sugar, beat until fluffy, add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

3In a small bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until combined. Stir in rum. Spoon batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 30 - 45 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool completely on wire rack. Cut into 1-inch cubes.

4Caramel Topping: In a small bowl, combine caramel topping and rum. Set aside.

5Creamy Vanilla Filling: In a medium bowl, combine pudding mix, cream, milk, sour cream, and powdered sugar. Beat with electric mixer at medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Cover, and cool for up to 2 days.

6Assembly: In martini glasses, layer cake cubes, creamy vanilla filling, and caramel mixture, as desired. Serve immediately.
