Ingredients For cinnamon shortbread bars

  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    cake flour
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • TOPPING
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make cinnamon shortbread bars

  • 1
    Combine all shortbread ingredients in large bowl. Beat at low speed just until soft dough forms (4 to 6 minutes). DO NOT OVERMIX.

    Press dough evenly onto bottom of lightly greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan.

    Stir together all topping ingredients in small bowl; sprinkle over shortbread. Prick dough all over with fork.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool slightly on wire rack; cut into bars while still warm.
