Ingredients For chunky caramel nut brownies

  • 3/4 c
    butter
  • 4
    squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 pkg
    14 ounces caramels
  • 1/4 c
    whipping cream
  • 2 c
    pecan halves or coarsely chopped pecans, divided
  • 1 pkg
    12 ounces milk chocolate chunks or chips, divided

How To Make chunky caramel nut brownies

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease 13x9 inch baking pan. Place butter and chocolate in large microwavable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1 1/2-2 minutes or until melted and smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in flour.

    Spread half of batter in prepared pan. Bake 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine caramels and cream in medium microwavable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1 1/2-2 minutes or until caramels begin to melt; stir until melted and smooth. Stir in 1 cup pecans.

    Spread caramel mixture over partially baked brownie layer. Sprinkle with half of chocolate chunks. Pour remaining batter over top; sprinkle with remaining 1 cup pecan halves and chocolate chunks. Bake 25 minutes or until set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
