Ingredients For old-fashioned mincemeat cookies

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 csugar, divided

1egg
-
1 tspvanilla

1 3/4 call purpose flour

1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1 pkg9 ounces condensed mincemeat, cut into small pieces

1egg white, lightly beaten
How To Make old-fashioned mincemeat cookies

1In a large bowl, cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in mincemeat. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

2Roll dough into 1-in. balls; dip into egg white and remaining sugar. Place sugar side up 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks
