2 ccrushed butterfinger candy bars, divided (16 snack size)

1/2 cchocolate chips

How To Make apple butterfinger bars

1Beat the sugar and butter until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat again.

2Sift together the flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder. Slowly add it to the creamed mixture. Stir in the apple chunks and 1 1/2 cups of the crushed candy bars by hand. Spread the mixture in a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-32 minutes. Do not over bake. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

3Cut the bars into 24 bars. Place the chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave safe bowl. Heat slowly until melted. Spoon into a plastic baggie and cut one tip off. Drizzle over the top of the bars. Top with the remaining crushed candy bars before the chocolate sets. Let the bars set. Store in a loosely sealed container. Makes 24 bars.
