From a friend - Lisa Fiegel. This frosting is perfect for any angel food cake or any cake, whoopie pie, cookies, etc. You have to work quick when using this frosting. It's almost marshmallow-like & when hard, you can't work with it.

Ingredients For fluffy white frosting (aka: 7 minute frosting)

  • 2 lg
    egg whites
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How To Make fluffy white frosting (aka: 7 minute frosting)

    Combine all ingredients (except vanilla) into a stainless steel bowl (works the best). Place over boiling water or dutch oven. Beat with a electric hand mixer at high speed until frosting forms stiff peaks, 7 minutes. Remove from heat; add vanilla.
