2 lbs, potatoes, peeled and diced into ½ inch cubes (I used Golden Potatoes)

1¼ cups milk
•
¾ cup cream
•
4 Tbsp butter
•
3 cloves minced garlic
•
salt
•
⅓ cup chopped chives or green onion
