INGREDIENTS
Cake:
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter
3 heaping Tablespoons dark (dutch process) cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
3 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Frosting:
1 stick salted butter, slightly softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 TBS whole milk
2 cups powdered sugar
Poured Fudge:
1/2 cup buttermilk, room temperature
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened dark (Dutch process) cocoa powder
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
16 TBS (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into tablespoon-sized pieces
