If you prefer you can use ground turkey in this recipe.

Ingredients
•
1 1/2 - 2 lbs ground beef
•
1 med onion, chopped
•
1 tbsp oil
•
1 tsp minced garlic
•
2 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoes
•
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
•
1 cup water
•
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
•
1 tsp pepper
•
1 tsp salt
•
1/2 cup uncooked rice, optional
•
Directions:
•
Brown ground beef, and onion with a small amount of oil in a deep dish skillet. Drain.
•
Add in minced garlic and quickly saute it with the other ingredients.
•
Add in water, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper. (Toss in uncooked rice at this point if its desired)
•
Place chopped cabbage in pan, and toss to combine all ingredients.
•
Cover pan with lid and simmer for 30 minutes or until cabbage has cooked.
