I got this recipe off a can of Hatch Green Chilies. I use the hot ones, but you can use either hot or mild for this recipe.

Ingredients For chili squares

  • 8 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 12 oz
    monterey jack cheese, grated
  • 2 (4) can
    green chilies, chopped

How To Make chili squares

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.

    Beat the eggs until light. Blend flour with baking powder and salt. Add to the eggs and mix well.

    Fold in the cheese and chilies and spread in the greased baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Cool for 5 minutes then cut into small squares for appetizers or large squares for breakfast or snacks.

    For appetizers place on serving dish and serve with fancy toothpicks.
