I got this recipe from my grandmother who used to own a diner and was famous for her texas hots. I think she would be very proud if people decided to make her recipe and try it out. I would also like to point out that this picture doesn't display the actual sauce,it's a borrowed pic, but I PROMISE next time I make this recipe I will take a picture of the actual sauce

Ingredients For texas hot sauce a.k.a. chili dog sauce

2 1/2 lbground beef (browned)

1 1/2chopped onions

16 ozor 2 (8 oz) cans crushed tomatoes

1 smcan of tomato paste

3/4 cchopped green peppers

1 canpimentoes
-
2 Tbspchili powder
-
1/2 Tbsppepper

1 Tbspsalt
How To Make texas hot sauce a.k.a. chili dog sauce

1After you have all your veggies chopped, sautee the pepper and brown your burger in the same pan

2once your burger and peppers are ready, add tomatoes, tomato paste, pimentos, chili powder, pepper and salt

3let simmer on medium for 30 minutes, spoon onto hot dog and sprinkle chopped onion on top

4add whatever else you like, such as cheese and other condiments
