Ingredients For long grain and wild rice with veggies

  • 1 c
    long grain and wild rice
  • 2 c
    homemade beef or chicken stock or lower sodium store bought
  • 1/2 c
    onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 c
    carrots, shredded
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make long grain and wild rice with veggies

  • 1
    Add 4 tbs of butter to saucepan and heat. Add veggies and simmer for about 10 min. until they begin to tenderize.

    Add rice and broth. Cover and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cooked with lid on for about 45-55 min. till tender.
